Shadowed Snowflakes

These stamps are from Inkadinkado. For the background, I stamped the snowflake in the same color as the cardstock (or versamark ink), and then stamped the snowflake in craft white a hair off of the first image. The snowflakes look like they are floating on the page.

This year I have been experimenting with unusual colors for Christmas cards. How about Pink (Regal Rose) and Purple (Orchid Opulence)? For the pink snowflake card, I stamped the snowflake in craft white on the vellum square and heat set it with a hair dryer. Then I added some stickles to them. Both "Merry Christmas" tags were sponged on the edges and adhered with a dimensional.

Alana, when I was in Boise, I LOVED going to boise Paper Cottage, their info is:
http://mypapercottage.com/contact.php

I noticed that they open another store in Meridian.

Also, this wasn't there when I was there, but there's Archivers: http://www.archiversonline.com/myarchivers/boise.asp. The location between Archivers and Paper Cottage isn't that far, actually, from the map, it seems like their across the street from one another. Paper Cottage is that strip mall area in the corner of Milwaukee and Fairview. So both by the Boise Mall.

I go to Archivers every so often now, they have one here, but I still love those small friendly stores best. Also Archivers doesn't carry some brand and vice versa so it's just fun to go to different places.

You should go, but either be prepare to not spend a lot, have cash only, or know that you can spend a lot. There are so many cute stuff!

I love cards in non-traditional colours - keep it up! I also love the shadow effect on the snowflakes - one of my fave things to do!! Pretty cards!

I love purple so I'm always up for purple cards! I like the depth that the two layers of stamping adds to the snowflakes.
